Peaches are in season!
Try them in this simple, sweet and juicy summer dessert.
My version is gluten free and no one will ever know - I promise!
1 cup Sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) Butter, melted
1 cup Milk
1 Egg
4-5 medium Peaches, peeled and sliced
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
To peel the peaches, fill a large sauce pan with water and bring to a boil. Slice an "X" in the bottom of each peach and place them in the boiling water. After 1-2 minutes, remove each peach with a slotted spoon and allow to cool for a few minutes. The peel will slide off easily.
Whisk the GF Bisquick, sugar, melted butter, milk, egg and salt until well combined. Pour into a buttered 8x8 inch baking pan. Slice the peaches and arrange on top, pushing each slice down slightly into the batter.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, until golden.
Serve warm topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Serves 6-8.
