Basil Bacon Peas and Pasta (Gluten Free)


Quick, easy and so satisfying!
Pesto, bacon and cream - you can't go wrong.  This is my kind of comfort food.
My family adores pasta in all forms and this is a new favorite.
The perfect ending to a busy day!



1 box (12 oz) Gluten Free Pasta
1 Onion, chopped
3 slices Bacon, cut into narrow strips
1 cup Heavy Cream
3 Tbsp Pesto
1 cup Frozen Peas

Prepare the pasta according to the directions on the package.


In a large heavy pot, sauté the onions and bacon, until the onions are transparent.


Pour in the heavy cream...


... and the pesto.


Stir well and allow to simmer on low heat for 2-3 minutes.


Add the peas and continue to heat until the sauce is thick and bubbly.


When the pasta is ready, drain and mix into the sauce.


Serve topped with parmesan cheese.
Serves 6-8
